Here are 5 Things We Learned about Henri.

What made you...you?

I’ve had the great privilege of living in a few of Europe’s most amazing cities. Since studying in Edinburgh I have lived in London, Amsterdam and now Berlin. Coming from beautiful, rural Norfolk, UK, these cities have certainly shaped me in ways England’s green and pleasant land just couldn’t have.

When are you happiest?

When I am making with my hands. The transition from drawing into object in physical space is a magical one.

Would you rather have a muse or be a muse?

I prefer to observe than be observed, so I guess…have a muse? Although that sounds problematic. Beyond “muse” as the subject of the painter’s gaze, I’m not sure I’m ready to be a muse. I still have so much to learn and do before I can be the source of someone’s inspiration.

Who do you admire?

My mother, after raising 4 kids while running a number of businesses, she went back to school, got into university and reached a lifelong goal of becoming a nurse, at 50.

What is important?

Being kind, not only to others but also to oneself and the planet.
