Henderson worked with the project’s Holland Harvey Architects and art curators CULTURE A to realise the vision of Inhabit’s co-founder Nadira Lalji. The hotel sits across a crescent of stucco 19th-century townhouses on leafy Queen’s Gardens, and houses 158 rooms including 10 handsome suites.

THE INHABIT HOTEL STYLE LESSONS
CULTURE A, the hotel's art curator, selected works by emerging and established artists to complement the meditative mood of the hotel – and the above gallery wall is our favorite of these spaces. In an age where experience culture is on the rise, Anne T. Rogers’ work is ever more prescient. The founder of art and innovation consultancy CULTURE A, Rogers curates collections and experiences for a range of clients from hotels to luxury retail and residential. Her work focusses on “art as visual storytelling, and visual storytelling is a key component to experience design,” she says. “Looking at art encourages discussion, individual interpretation, and personal connection. Complementing the visual narrative are artworks curated by CULTURE A, which showcase an array of London’s talent. Textured, collage-style prints hang throughout the public spaces and guestrooms, tipping their hat to the peeling posters that decorate Shoreditch’s graffitied walls while other highlights include a street art-inspired textile by print artist Lisa King; a large-scale, handpainted mural by Hackney resident Carlos Peñalver; and collaborations with Ravensbourne University and Proud Galleries…
