I recently met MA people’s founders Manuela and Magdalena for lunch in Zurich. Full of energy and love for their work, Manu and Lena are excellent storytellers who create gorgeous creative concepts, brands, marketing, and sales strategies for hotels around the world - always from a personable, human approach. They founded MA people because they strongly believe there are better ways to apply innovative ideas and solutions to tourism and hospitality design.
Here are 5 Things We Learned about MA people.
What made you...you?
Manuela: All the experiences that I’ve been able to live so far, made me. The people around me, the countries I lived in, the love that I experienced, all these aspects shaped and characterized my personality, which is still and will continue changing and evolving.
Magdalena: Growing up in a small mountain village in South Tyrol/Italy, working and living in several countries around the world, being sometimes a bit out of this world and believing in magic and miracles.
When are you happiest?
Manuela: When surrounded by people that I love.
Magdalena: While exploring new countries and cultures, being outside in nature, drinking Prosecco with my friends and family. When we receive great feedback on our work – from happy clients, guests, partners, etc.
Would you rather have a muse or be a muse?
Manuela: Since I am not that creative ;-), I’d rather have a muse who helps me to find inspiration in my daily life.
Magdalena: Both – balance is the key ;-)
Who do you admire?
Manuela: There are many people who I admire because of different reasons. What they all have in common is that they demonstrate values and qualities that I value in life.
Magdalena: Anyone who leads with kindness. Women who dare to be bold. Anyone who is vulnerable, authentic, and real.
What is important?
Manuela: Health, our relationships with family, friends and all other loved ones. To believe in yourself, to enjoy life, and to be happy.
Magdalena: To believe in the good, to focus on the positive, and to stand-up every single time when life knocks you down. Above all, to laugh and love a lot – nothing is as serious as we make it out to be.
